That had to mess with her eyes, too. Staring at a wall only a few feet away at the most, and for two years, had to disrupt her sense of distance. There was a case where a child was locked in the attic for 10 years tied to a potty chair, and after a lifetime of staring at that one door, her eyes had become permantly fixed on that specific ten-foot distance, having extreme difficulty focusing on anything close up or far away.
Since moving to Kansas myself, I have to honestly say, stories like this one is not surprising. In fact, I have seen more lunacy from Kansans than I have seen anywhere else. I swear, Kansas is the Funny Farm of the United States!
